The Solaris 44 comes from a yard better known for racing yachts, and it shows in the way she moves. Light, quick and easy to handle, she brings a little of that sailing-world purity to a day under power. At just over thirteen metres, she is compact enough to feel lively and generous enough to spend a full day aboard.
Her open deck is the heart of her. A clever deck extension opens the space at anchor, so up to eight guests can spread out, sunbathe and swim without ever feeling boxed in. Storage is thoughtfully worked in, keeping the lines clean and the deck uncluttered. Two cabins below give you somewhere private to change and step out of the sun.
From her base near Cap Ferrat she is perfectly placed for the stretch of coast between the Cap and the bays beyond. Slip out in the morning, find a quiet anchorage for a swim, then cruise on at an easy twenty-three knots when the mood to move takes hold. She rewards a lighter touch, responding to the sea rather than bullying through it.
She suits a couple or a small group who value a boat with genuine character over sheer size, and who like the idea of something a little different tied up on the quay.
